The 2011 Mazda 2 is all about quick and efficient. The subcompact is great for college students or even those who don’t have far to drive to work. The perfect little city commuter makes getting around town a quick and simple process because of a lightweight feel and efficiency aspect.
With the gas prices being a concern for the summer of 2011, many are looking for something small and cost efficient when it comes time to fill ‘er up. The last thing anyone ever wants in life is the bill when you have to fill the tank on a large truck or SUV, it’s rather discouraging and begs the question of why we can’t get by on less.
The smaller and more compact cars are becoming very popular and sought after which is evident in the new models being revealed at this years auto show. Many of the manufacturers have shifted in this direction as people are tired of living gas station to gas station filling up the tank and overpaying for simply getting around town.
The benefit in owning a small car is the reduced fuel costs, but also it makes us take the time to look around at other things that we might be able to cut back on. If we practice being efficient from what we drive, what we wear, and how we consume resources, it can result in improving our overall attitude and outlook towards a sustainable and better future.
These days it can make a big difference if everything we own is newer technology that’s made to be economical and efficient. By tracking this we can see our progress and reward our commitment and influence others to be conscious as well.
The suggested starting MSRP of the Mazda 2 is $14,180.

The Mazda 5 Minivan is a high safety rated vehicle and makes Mazda a success with this newest model.
It comes with six passenger seating, gets up to 28 MPG and has a 153 hp 2.3L DOHC 16-valve 4 cylinder engine.
One of the great features is the second row captian’s chairs with under seat storage.
The 5 star rating from the government crash-safety is the highest a vehicle can be rated. This combination of front and side airbags along with side curtain airbags make this a very safe family vehicle.
The Sport model starts at a reasonable suggested MSRP of $18,510 topping out at the Grand Touring model which begins at $23,240.
There are other features that lend themselves to safety like the Xenon headlights on the Grand Touring model. The sliding rear doors make it easier to manage the kids getting in and out of the vehicle.
It’s 44.4 cubic feet of cargo room is not a compromise either. This makes a family trip or a coaches job much easier.
One other feature that should be classified as a safety bonus is the option of hands free bluetooth mobile connectivity. This allows most modern cell phones to utilize the vehicles speaker system for phone calls, allowing the driver to keep their eyes on the road and prevent distractions.
All of the Mazda 5’s safety features come standard across all of their models. Anyone driving a Mazda 5 will have the peace of mind that safety standards have not only been met, but they’ve been an integral part of the vehicle and as notable as any other feature or option one could add.

The 2010 Mazda CX-7 is a five passenger car that combines the benefits of an SUV with the economy of a passenger car. Many people consider SUV’s to be inefficient in terms of gas mileage and in some cases they are, but there is still a need for these vehicles.
There are many reasons why families choose minivans but some people are hesitant to jump into one because they don’t like the design. The ability to offer a solution that combines style and utility is what the 2010 Mazda CX-7 is aiming to do.
There are some sporty features that the 2010 Mazda CX-7 brings to the table, making it a strong competitor in the popular crossover segment. Sporty looks are one thing but a big concern for many is whether the mini-SUV can still pull nicely up hills while being economical with fuel consumption.
The Mazda CX-7 gets an average of 19 MPG city / 24 MPG highway fuel economy. The transmission is a 6-speed automatic with sport shift.
The Mazda CX-7 has brought a little more to the table for 2010 to keep up in this hot market. The curvy lines and newly designed front grill makes the stance of the Cx-7 a bit more aggressive looking. Mazda has been getting it right with many of their lines and this one is no exception. The sporty style of the popular Mazda passenger car is being incorporated in their crossover line. People are responding because Mazda is doing a great job of putting a lot of great things into one package.
The interior of the CX-7 is also nicely designed with a style of gauges and overall dash that looks clean and easy to program. Mazda increased the size of the heads up display making it easier to read and get information as well as follow the navigation as you travel your routes. Some other points to make about the interior are the handy access to control everything via the steering wheel.
Mazda has a number of great cars in their lineup and the CX-7 meets the criteria for this as well. The CX-7 has a suggested MSRP starting at $23,750 for FWD models and $25,450 for AWD models.

30 Years with Mazda
Not many people in today’s labor force can say they have been selling the same product for three decades. But one local salesperson, Gary “Alex” Alexander was recently honored for this milestone. Alex has been selling Mazda vehicles since April 1980 and became very fanatical of the product. Today Wyatt-Johnson Mazda is proud to have Alex selling and promoting Mazda to enhance the reputation of the vehicle.
A reception was held in honor of his continuous dedication, hard work and initiative. Several of his former and present co-workers and long time devoted customers were on hand to help celebrate. On behalf of Mazda, Ben Coy, Mazda District Manager and Vince Cerza Mazda, Regional Manager awarded Alex for his long time service.
Congratulations Alex on 30 Years of Success!

The second most important financial decision made in a household or by an individual is usually the purchase of a vehicle. Doing some research heading out to the dealership helps the consumer to make a more informed decision. With that mindset let’s have a little fun analyzing the Mazda3 and the Mazdaspeed3 just in case a sporty car with great features yet at an economical price is in your future.
Both Mazda3 and Mazdaspeed3 are compacts produced by you guessed it: Mazda. Mazda3 began production in 2004 and Mazdaspeed3 in 2007. Mazdaspeed3 is the performance version of Mazda3. The refreshed second generation Mazda3 with a 2010 model year has a suggested MSRP of $15,295 and the first generation Mazadaspeed3 has a suggested MSRP of $23,340.
Establishing the price differential, makes it clear the Mazda3 is the most economical, however, determining what each vehicle has to offer will also aid in the decision making.
The 2010 upgraded Mazda3 offers a 148-horsepower, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine available in 144-horsepower tune, and a 167-horsepower, 2.5-liter inline-four available in 165-horsepower tune. The 3 comes in five-speed automatic or manual, or an optional six-speed manual. The Mazda3 i SV offers drivers electrically-variable speed-proportional power steering. Standard and optional features include a sunroof, satellite radio, Bluetooth, navigation system and stereo with more watt-power
The Mazdaspeed3 specs go like this: The sporty high performance compact offers a turbocharged 2.3-litre DISI MZR I4 engine (borrowed from Mazdaspeed6), producing 263 horses and 280 lb.ft. of torque. Standard in the Mazdaspeed3 is a GKN limited slip differential, a six-speed manual transmission, antilock brakes, traction control and Dynamic Stability Control. Consumers will not be offered an automatic transmission until model year 2011. What is even more interesting is that Mazda’s high performance tuning and race division engineered the Mazdaspeed3 to reduce boost in first gear so that only 230 horses hit pavement and boost is also limited in second. Gear selection and steering angle are the determining factors of boost reduction in first and second gears.
As expected the Mazdaspeed3 takes faster – 0 to 60 in 6.8 seconds and the Mazda3 at 7.9 seconds. Both vehicles grant sporty technology rich cabins and a fun way to drive from point A to point B. So when all is said and done, the Mazdaspeed3 grants more power and the Mazda3 a fatter bottom line. A test drive may help you decide which one is more important.

Subcompact vehicles offer fuel economy while being sporty enough to make the owner’s heart skip a beat periodically. Two subcompacts new in the US for summer 2011 are the 2011 Mazda 2 and the second generation 2010 Honda Fit.

Need a new vehicle but don’t know which mid-size family car will give the most value for the money? You may find a good comparison between the Mazda 6 and Honda Accord. A Mazda 6 is a great family sedan but may surprise you with the performance as it tops Honda Accord on many levels.
Mazda 6’s top of the line trim level the Grand Touring model offers 272 horses and a 3.7L V-6. 0 to 60 in the 6 was done in 6.5 seconds. The Honda Accord, the lighter of the two took 7.5 seconds to get to 60 mph.
It was also noted that Mazda’s engine was ready to go with the first press of the accelerator and won in this aspect as well. The 6 also came in first in fuel economy. Honda Accord’s 268 horsepower 3.5L V-6 offered 18 mpg and Mazda 6, 20 mpg.
The quarter mile went to Mazda 6: 14.7 seconds at 95.6 mpg and Accord 15.6 seconds at 91 mpg. Both vehicles offer double-wishbone independent front suspension and Mazda comes in first in handling.
